For this Balsall Heath Second Saturday The GAP invite you to explore the question ‘What does England mean to me?’ and express yourself through collage and conversation!
Our summer programme for 15 – 21 year olds – The Other-Wise Summer School – is soon approaching, and this year we’re exploring well just what exactly is Englishness? And what could it be in the future? 🏴 So this Second Saturday we’re inviting the wider community to join us in thinking creatively about the complex questions of how we define Englishness and what it means to live on this land. Following the workshop, we’ll gather all the collages created together into a mini zine format to be used as a learning resource for young people during The Other-Wise Summer School – a collage of collages if you will! ✂
All materials will be provided, but you’re very welcome to bring any of your own collage materials too if you have something specific in mind.
You can also drop by for a chat about The Other-Wise Summer School if you’d like to find out more or get involved! And as always, we’ll also have comfy sofas to chill, books to read and light refreshments. Come have a chat!
